Cowden Lake Bible Academy

CLBA has been in existence since 1981. Its purpose is to assist the parents and the local church in the God-given responsibility of teaching and training their children. A child needs to grow as Jesus Himself grew:

"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."

Luke 2:52

True Christian education includes intellectual, physical, social and most importantly, spiritual development.

Our goals at CLBA for each student:

1. to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
2. to make Biblical truth a guide to life
3. to live a disciplined life
4. to learn respect for authority
5. to build Christian character
6. to adhere to God's moral standard

Affiliations

CLBA is a member of the Michigan Association of Christian Schools. Our curriculum is Bible-based, mostly from Abeka Books and Bob Jones University Press.

We participate in teachers' conventions, athletic events, testing programs, competitions, legislative updates, and other services provided by various organizations.

Directions

From Old 131 (Federal Road):

Take Kendaville Road east (about 4 miles) to Bailey Road (1st stop sign). Turn right and park in the angle parking.

From M-91

(about 10 miles): Turn west on Kendaville Road, which changes to Coral Road at the curves. Continue on this road until Bailey Road (1st stop sign). Turn right on Bailey; go about 1/2 mile. CLBA will be on the left side, at the north end of Coral.

Booster Club

The CLBA Booster Club raises money for projects at CLBA, including:

• ~underwriting sports programs;
• ~helping with classroom expenses;
• ~making special building improvements;
• ~providing lunchroom start-up money;
• ~sponsoring the scrip program, which enables participating parents to earn a percentage off their monthly tuition.

All parents and interested individuals are welcome to be part of the Boosters.
